This painting developed without planning with yet another period of isolation after the third lockdown. The visceral rawness is the exposure of feeling; it is emotion made manifest.

I used an extremely limited palette and used household sponges and my fingers instead of a brush. The tactile nature of the work added to the intensity of the piece.”
