Description
Vessels are the name I give my bags.
On reflecting on how much we hold onto throughout our lives, I wanted to tell a story of the nature of movement, growth and transporting our selves through time, and a version of what that means to us.
Vessels a Poem
She roars, for the warrior is ready.
Belongings refined to only those that serve her – the items marking events that she once held onto, wrapped, placed and left – for they have served their purpose and are now free to simply be past.
The terrain has left it’s marks. For ever changing surfaces, appearing at times with no warning, the heart and mind are renewed as she learns and recognises the signs leading to the path that she must choose, wisdom leading the way.
Taking care to apply the ointment of life, the wounds heal to reveal unimagined mastery and beauty, such is the power of love.
No ordinary old bag, for the vessel is light yet strong. Unique and curious, the strength that is held within, is so much more than meets the eye.
